Minimally Invasive Cervical Spine Surgery

Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery is performed using an endoscope, which is inserted through small incisions (half-inch). The endoscope is connected to a tiny video camera that projects an "inside" view of the patient's body onto television screens inside the operating room. Small surgical instruments may then be passed through one or more additional half-inch incisions.

The goal of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery is to reduce soft tissue trauma to allow a more rapid patient recovery from surgery and an earlier return to activity. It is a highly technical procedure and requires significant training and equipment. North Cypress Medical Center is committed to the efficacious advance of new technologies that promises to improve patient health and well-being. The Spine Surgeons at North Cypress Spine Center have been extensively trained in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. All of the Spine Surgeons are Board-Certified and have extensive experience in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.

Benefits to Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery include:

  • Smaller scars / less scar tissue
